AUTHENTIC REPRESENTATION FOR EVERY CHILD
This means they might look straight into the camera or they might be laughing or they might be squeezing their favorite stuffy. I also recognize that young people can be both confident and shy at the same time. Sometimes, they may need a little more encouragement than we realize and other times they just can't wait to showcase their personality.
FUTURE PUBLIC SCHOOL
WHAT SHOULD CHILDREN WEAR?
I encourage kids to express their individuality through their clothing! If your child has a favorite shirt, hat, or piece of jewelry, I invite them to wear it. For a clean look, please avoid graphics and neon colors; solid colors (other than white) work best.
For younger children, consider sending a favorite lovey, toy, or book. Picture Day can be a big event, so a comforting item can help ease their nerves, and while their favorite may appear in some photos, it won't be in all.
AS A PARENT/GUARDIAN, HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
You will receive a private online album containing 2-5 images in both color and black & white. If a child is really rockin’
their session, there may be additional images to choose from.
AFTER PICTURE DAY?
Within 2-3 weeks of picture day, you will receive a link via email from your school administration to your school gallery. There will be an album for each child. Photos will be delivered in both color and black/white. I do not choose which photos you buy/print; you do! You will be able to order prints, canvas wraps, and/or digital images directly from your gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure. Your gallery will be live for 14 days.
GIVING BACK.
I strongly believe it is important to document children and give back to the communities they learn in. This is why your school will receive 10% back from all school orders.
Celebrate the unique identities of every child, understanding the importance of social and emotional growth alongside academic achievement.
Unscripted Portraits empower students to see themselves reflected just as they are in their community, boosting confidence and self-esteem through genuine photography.
Follow the child's lead. Creativity and self-exploration are highly encouraged, which allow students to connect with their own indenties and appreciate the diversity of their peers.
I’m obsessed with the boys and animals in my world: Heiden, my husband, Cohen, my oldest son, Sawyer, my youngest son, Timber, our darling Fox Red Lab, and Sunny, our regal German Wirehaired Pointer. Oh, and I cannot forget about the gaggle of pet fish we have too!
I really dig life! All of it. The highs and lows. I believe in “get to” rather than “have to." I deem self-care being essential and not a reward. And family — the family that chooses you, and the family that you choose — is so important!
